🎡 State Fair Day 7: The Cream Puff Finale! 🎡

And just like that, we’ve reached the sweetest ending to an amazing week of State Fair fun at Harwood Place! 🍦🎪

Residents, staff, and visitors wrapped up the festivities with one of the fair’s most beloved treats—a delicious cream puff! 🥳

A HUGE thank you to our amazing Chef Tonya for making these homemade cream puffs. Some say they were even better than the ones at the fair… wink, wink! 😉😋

It’s been a puff-tastic week filled with food, games, animals, music, laughter, and so many wonderful memories. ❤️ We’re already looking forward to seeing what’s next at Harwood Place!

🧀🎡 Harwood Place State Fair Day 6: We’re Curdly Having Fun! 🎡🧀

Harwood Place kicked off State Fair Day 6 with a Wisconsin-style Cheese Curd Social that was nothing short of grate! 😋🧀

Residents, staff, and visitors enjoyed delicious cheese curds paired with refreshing lemonade. To add a little extra cheddar to the excitement, everyone got to test their luck with a scratch-off lottery ticket! 🎟️ Winners got to choose between a cheese keychain or a cheese stress ball. 🧀

And that’s not all… everyone who attended was entered into a raffle for a cheese mouse Squishmallow! 🐭🧀

A huge cheese-y thank you to our amazing kitchen staff for making the yummy treats and to everyone who came out to make the day so much fun!

The annual board reception brought together an incredible group at Blue Mound Golf & Country Club! Current and past board members gathered to celebrate their service and hear updates about the exciting things happening across our organization. We are so grateful for this group and the meaningful connection they share with us.

What an incredible week! Our new bus arrived yesterday, and we couldn’t be more excited. This addition will allow us to take more residents who use wheelchairs on outings and community adventures. We are deeply grateful to all the donors whose generosity made this possible! 🚐

As we celebrate 120 years we'd like to pause and celebrate this day 115 years ago... On August 13, 1911, we dedicated a brand new, modern $50,000 building featuring central heating and indoor plumbing. Capacity of new building was 81.
