Please join us in congratulating Dr. Tamara Morris, PsyD, on receiving the James Besyner Award for Lifetime Achievement from the American Psychological Association Division 18 Veterans Affairs Section.

This national award recognizes psychologists whose careers have demonstrated sustained leadership and significant impact on Veterans and the field of psychology.

Dr. Morris is an Army Veteran, clinical psychologist, Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), and Director of Training with the BRAVE Program. Her career has been dedicated to serving Veterans, treating complex trauma, and training the next generation of psychologists to better understand and care for those who have served.

What makes this recognition even more meaningful is that Dr. Morris is doing this work outside of the VA system, while continuing to make a significant impact in Veteran care through BRAVE.

Congratulations, Dr. Morris! We are incredibly proud to have you on this team and even more grateful for the work you do every day for our Veterans and First Responders.

🏈Get ready to JUMP AROUND! The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs is once again distributing free tickets to this year's Wisconsin Badgers 'Salute to Veterans' football game.

Join other veterans and us watch the Badgers take on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights at Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday, November 7. Game time is TBD. It’s also a great opportunity to tour the recently opened Camp Randall Veterans Memorial Plaza, an incredible addition to the Camp Randall Memorial Park next door. The plaza is open to the public during and after the game.

⭐HOW TO REGISTER: With a limited number of free tickets available, veterans and service members can register for the chance to receive up to two tickets online at WisVetsSports.com through Monday, September 14, at 5:00 p.m. Lottery winners will be notified by Friday, September 26.

What an incredible evening at Skylight Music Theatre.

Members of the BRAVE team had the opportunity to attend "Graceful Warrior", a deeply personal benefit concert hosted and narrated by Gary Sinise featuring the original music of his late son, McCanna “Mac” Sinise.

Program Director Jenna Haberkorn, Medical Director Dr. Greg Burek, Nurse Manager Neal, and Psychotherapist Mark represented BRAVE for an evening centered around music, storytelling, love, loss, resilience, and hope.

We are especially grateful for Gary Sinise’s continued commitment to our nation’s Veterans and First Responders. Through the Gary Sinise Foundation, that commitment extends right here to Milwaukee, where the Foundation has supported Skylight Music Theatre’s Veterans Nights for the past three years.

There is something incredibly powerful about bringing people together through shared stories and reminding us that even through grief and loss, connection and hope remain.

Thank you to Gary Sinise and Skylight Music Theatre for a beautiful evening and for continuing to honor those who serve.

A great day in Watertown!

BRAVE was grateful to join the First Responder Family Wellness Event at Watertown High School, hosted by the Watertown Police Department this past weekend!

It was incredible to see so many First Responders, families, organizations, and resource partners come together in one place. We had the opportunity to share more about the BRAVE Program, reconnect with some familiar faces, and make plenty of new connections along the way.

A special thank you to keynote speaker Chris Prochut, who shared his story and perspective with the room. And to his wife, Jenny, for making a special appearance as well.

The resource fair was another reminder of just how many people and organizations are working to support those who serve our communities and the families who serve right alongside them.

Thank you to the Watertown Police Department for bringing everyone together and for including BRAVE.

We’re already looking forward to next year!

This past Saturday, BRAVE was honored to join Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Chapter 45-3 in Appleton for their Military Su***de Awareness Ride, held in memory of SPC Rick Reffke.

BRAVE’s Casey was there representing our team and hosting a resource table. Connecting with Veterans, families, riders, and members of the community and making sure they know resources like BRAVE are available when they need them.

Events like these matter immensely. They create space to remember those we've lost, to talk openly about su***de, and to remind the people still carrying difficult things that they don't have to carry them alone.

A sincere thank you to CVMA Chapter 45-3 for inviting BRAVE to be part of such a meaningful day and for continuing to bring awareness to military su***de.

We were honored to be there in Rick's memory, and we look forward to joining you again next year.
