Dr. Slavens presented research conducted with Dr. Omid Jahanian investigating glenohumeral joint dynamics associated with geared manual wheelchair ramp ascent in individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI). Dr. Hanks presented research conducted with the Zablocki VA Hospital in Milwaukee investigating upper extremity joint kinematics in able-bodied lacrosse players and wheelchair lacrosse players with SCI.

Dr. Brooke Slavens, PhD and Dr. Matthew Hanks, PhD, ATC are attending the XXVII Congress of the International Society of Biomechanics (ISB) held in conjunction with the 43rd Annual Meeting of the American Society of Biomechanics (ASB) in Calgary, Alberta, Canada from July 31-August 4, 2019. Dr. Slavens and Dr. Hanks are both active members of the American Society of Biomechanics and will be presenting posters of their research at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) Mobility Lab. Both posters are eligible for the ASB President's Award.
