Many people are surprised to learn that embalming is not required by Texas law. Embalming is a choice that may be appropriate depending on the family’s wishes, the type of service being held, the amount of time before the funeral, and other circumstances. There are several options available when making funeral arrangements and we are here to explain those options so you can make an informed decision that is right for your family. We believe understanding your choice is an important part of meaningful funeral planning!

Did you know there are different options when you want to be Cremated?
As cremation becomes an increasingly popular choice, many people don’t realize that choosing cremation doesn’t mean giving up the opportunity to honor a loved one’s life. Whether you choose a traditional funeral before cremation, a memorial service afterward, or a celebration of life, there are many meaningful ways to gather with family and friends, share memories, and find comfort together. Cremation is simply one choice for final disposition-the way you choose to remember and celebrate a life is entirely up to you. We’re here to help you create a service that reflects your loved one’s unique story!

Are Funerals Important?
When someone we love passes away, a funeral is about so much more than saying goodbye. It gives families a sense of closure. Gathering together is an important step in beginning the healing process. Family and friends can lean on one another, share memories and find comfort in knowing they are not grieving alone. Most importantly, a funeral honors a life well lived. It offers the opportunity to celebrate legacy, reflect on your loved one’s impact and preserve their memory for future generations. While every family chooses to honor their loved one differently, taking time to gather, remember, and celebrate life can be one of the greatest gifts to those left behind! If you have questions about the different service types or planning ahead, I am always here to help!

Yesterday morning, we had the honor of welcoming home a true American hero.
Mr. Berrier was a prisoner of war and is finally home after being missing for so long. Tomorrow afternoon, we have the privilege of laying him to rest.
It is an honor to serve his family and help bring him home one final time. May we never forget his sacrifice, his service, and his story. ❤️
