Today we’re celebrating one of life’s sweetest treats, but even more importantly, we’re celebrating the people who make our community so special.

To our amazing residents, thank you for sharing your smiles, stories, laughter, and wisdom with us every day. To our families, thank you for your trust, support, and partnership. And to our dedicated staff, thank you for the compassion, patience, and love you pour into everything you do.

Donuts may make today a little sweeter, but it’s the people here who truly fill our hearts.

The fish said, “Not today.” 🎣😄

Our residents at Village Lake Suites enjoyed a wonderful fishing trip on May 29th. While we may not have filled the cooler, we definitely filled our hearts with laughter, relaxation, and great company.

Residents spent the day by the water enjoying the peaceful surroundings, sharing stories, and making memories together.

A special thank you to our maintenance team for helping make the outing possible. From hauling gear to assisting residents at the dock, their support played a huge role in making the day a success.

The fish won this round... but we'll be back! 🐠💙

Today, our residents and staff proudly dressed in red, white, and blue as we came together to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom this Memorial Day. ❤️🤍💙

We were also honored to have a beautiful Missing Man Table prepared by our amazing Dietary Department. This special table serves as a powerful reminder of those who are missing or never returned home from serving our country

🇺🇸Our Missing Man Table is set with special items, each carrying a powerful meaning:

❤️ The table is small — symbolizing the frailty of one prisoner alone against their oppressors.

🤍 The white tablecloth — represents the purity of their intentions in answering the call to serve.

🍋 The slice of lemon on the bread plate — reminds us of the bitter fate of those who are missing.

🧂 The salt — symbolizes the tears shed by families and friends awaiting their loved ones’ return.

🥀 The red rose — stands for the lives and loved ones who keep faith while awaiting answers.

🎗️ The yellow ribbon tied around the vase — symbolizes continued hope for their return.

🕯️ The candle — reminds us that the light of hope lives on in our hearts.

🍷 The inverted glass — signifies that the missing and fallen cannot share in the meal.

🪑 The empty chair — represents the absence of those who are not here with us today.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

In long term care, we are especially grateful for the veterans and military families who have shared their stories, service, strength, and sacrifices with us throughout the years. It is a privilege to care for those who once served and protected others.

Today we remember, reflect, and give thanks. ❤️🤍💙
