A little detour from my plans 😵‍💫,

Metta/Loving kindness practices have been both practical and profound in my own life, and I’m looking forward to sharing more with you 🤍

A gentle reminder for anyone who needs it today:

You do not have to earn rest.

You do not have to complete every task before taking care of yourself.

You do not have to wait until you're overwhelmed to slow down.

Rest is not a reward. It is a necessity.

When we create space to pause, breathe, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves, we show up more fully in every area of our lives.

Today, I invite you to take five intentional minutes for yourself.

Step outside.
Take a few deep breaths.
Put your phone down.
Notice what is happening around you.

Sometimes the smallest pauses create the biggest shifts.

What helps you feel grounded when life gets busy?

Today is National Relaxation Day.

But if we're honest, most of us don't need a special day to justify rest.

We need permission.

Permission to put the phone down.

To let the to-do list wait.

To sit in the quiet without filling it with something else.

Rest isn't something you earn after everything else is done. It's something you're allowed to choose, right in the middle of it all.

So here it is - your permission slip. 🤍

💬 What’s your favorite way to relax?

"You carry all the ingredients to turn your life into a nightmare, don’t mix them. You carry all the ingredients to turn your existence into joy, mix them, mix them!"
- Hafiz

Every day we're mixing something.

Gratitude or comparison.
Curiosity or judgment.
Presence or distraction.
Compassion or criticism.

We do not control every circumstance, but we do have influence over what we repeatedly practice. Over time, these small choices shape the quality of our lives.

What are you mixing into your life today?

May I be happy.
May I be safe.
May I be healthy.
May I be peaceful and at ease. 🤍

I'm frequently asked about my meditation practice - what I do, how long, whether it "works."

Honestly? For years, I thought I was doing it wrong.

I'd sit down expecting stillness and instead find a hundred thoughts, a to-do list, a memory. I thought that meant I'd failed before I even started.

What I've learned is that meditation was never about emptying my mind.

It's about noticing.

Noticing when I've drifted, and gently coming back.
Noticing a thought without needing to follow it anywhere.
Noticing my breath, right here, without changing a thing about it.

Most days I roll out of bed and sit right when I wake up. Some days it's only ten minutes of sitting in silence. Some days it's five slow breaths before I open my eyes in the morning. Some days it's just remembering to pause before I respond.

There is no version of this practice that's more "real" than another.

If you've tried meditation and thought you weren't good at it - I promise, neither was I. I still catch my mind wandering every single time.

That's not the failure. That's the practice. 🤍

💬 What's held you back from starting - or sticking with - a meditation practice? I'd love to hear.

Metta, or loving-kindness, is an ancient Buddhist meditation practice that has been cultivated for over 2,500 years. At its heart, it is the intentional practice of cultivating kindness and goodwill toward ourselves, others, and ultimately all beings.

While rooted in Buddhist tradition, Metta is a universal practice. It’s not about forcing positive emotions—it’s about training the heart. Modern science is now confirming what practitioners have known for centuries: loving-kindness practice can reduce stress, increase compassion, strengthen relationships, and support emotional well-being.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing a series of short, practical Metta practices. I hope you’ll practice with me and let me know how it’s going. 🤍

What happens when you finally unplug?

What happens when you step away from the constant stimulation, expectations, notifications, schedules, and noise?

At first, it can feel unfamiliar.
Maybe even uncomfortable.

But slowly, something begins to shift. You start breathing more deeply. Sleeping more fully. Listening to yourself again instead of the constant demands around you.

You begin to notice what your body has been trying to tell you.
What your mind has been carrying.
What your heart has quietly been asking for.

And in that space - away from pressure, distraction, and autopilot - presence returns.

Not because you forced it.
But because you finally gave yourself room to hear it.

That’s the intention behind this retreat experience in Mexico 🤍

A chance to slow down enough to reconnect with yourself through mindfulness, movement, nature, rest, and meaningful connection.

Not to become someone new - but to come home to yourself again.

Life is a balance of holding on and letting go - Rumi

We spend so much energy trying to hold on—to certainty, control, identity, outcomes. Yet healing often begins when we create enough space to gently loosen our grip. The practice isn't choosing one or the other. It's learning the wisdom of when to hold on... and when to let go. 🤍
