A little rain couldn’t dampen our fall fun at Summit Square! 🍂

Our Fall Festival may have moved indoors, but the warmth of friendship and good company made it just as special! With a room full of neighbors, fall favorites on the menu, and plenty of conversation, we made the most of a rainy autumn day.

Sometimes the best part of fall is simply being together! 🍁

Last week, Independent Living residents from Summit Square enjoyed a wonderful outing to The Belties in Nellysford, where good food and great conversation made for the perfect start to the day.

At Summit Square, some of the best memories are made beyond our campus, exploring local favorites, sharing laughter and enjoying the friendships that make our community so special. ❤️

A little rain could not dampen the spirit of the 2026 Greater Augusta Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Representatives from Summit Square and Sunnyside Communities were proud to join our community in support of the fight against Alzheimer’s. For Amanda Argenbright, Marketing Director at Summit Square, the walk held a deeply personal meaning as she participated in memory of her mother.

Whether walking for someone living with dementia, honoring the memory of a loved one, supporting a friend or simply holding onto hope for a future without Alzheimer’s, everyone had a reason to be there.

Despite the rainy skies, the day was filled with hope, remembrance and a shared commitment to a future where no family has to face Alzheimer’s alone.

This was just the first of three Walk to End Alzheimer’s events Sunnyside Communities will participate in this year. Stay tuned for photos from the Rockingham Walk with our Sunnyside team in Harrisonburg and the walk with our King’s Grant team in Martinsville. Across all three communities, we are proud to walk together for a future without Alzheimer’s.

At Summit Square, beauty is part of the everyday. It is in the gardens outside your door, the familiar faces you pass along the way and those quiet moments when you stop long enough to notice just how lovely your surroundings really are.

There is a lot to love about life here. Sometimes, it is as simple as stopping to enjoy the flowers.

One of the perks of life at Summit Square is having transportation available to help you get out and about. Whether residents are heading out for shopping, an appointment, a community outing or another adventure, we are happy to help make getting there a little easier.
