Teresa Kay Cotton was born October 15, 1961 in Linden, TN to the late Robert “Bob” and Betty Hankins Cotham. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren. When her grandchildren played ball games, she loved being in the stands cheering them on. Earlier in her life she especially enjoyed fishing and camping. Mrs. Cotton departed this life on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 in Columbia, TN making her stay in this life some 64 years, 9 months, and 7 days.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Darrell “D.W.” Cotton of Hohenwald, TN; daughter, Tera Scaife and husband Nathan of Waynesboro, TN; son Derrick Staggs and wife Heather; one brother Terry Cotham and wife Karen both of Hohenwald, TN; she is also survived by five grandchildren, Elise, Izzie and Sophie Scaife; Gracie and Tytus Staggs; one niece, Jasmine Chapin and husband Louie of Hohenwald, TN; two nephews, Dane Cotham of Madison, TN; Grey Cotham of Nashville, TN
