Funeral services for Mr. Levester Bonner, Sr. will occur Friday at 1:00 PM at Pineville MB Church, with Apostle Brandon Cornelius as the eulogist. Interment will follow at Bonner Cemetery.

Mr. Bonner, 62, a Beaumont, TX resident formerly of Waynesboro, MS, passed away May 23, 2026 at his home. He was a retiree formerly employed with Hood Industries.

Mr. Bonner’s viewing period will be held Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.

Memorial services for Ms. Sherry Richardson will occur Monday, June 8th, at 1:30 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Waynesboro. Interment will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS.

Ms. Richardson, 51, of Buckatunna, departed her life May 27, 2026 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. She was a correctional officer with Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Ms. Richardson’s viewing period will be Monday, June 8th, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.

Ms. Long, 42, of Waynesboro, transitioned May 30, 2026 at Wayne General Hospital. She was a school teacher employed with Waynesboro Riverview School.

Funeral services for Mr. Travis Hodge will occur Wednesday, June 3rd, at 2:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home, with Bro. Josh West as the officiant. Interment will follow at West Cemetery in the Clara community (Waynesboro).

Mr. Hodge, 58, of Clara, passed away May 27, 2026 at Wayne General Hospital.

His viewing period will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2026 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mr. La’Tavis “Tae” Everett will occur Wednesday at 3:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home, with Rev. Tyrone White as the officiant. Interment will follow at Sunlight Cemetery.

Mr. Everett, 32, of Buckatunna, passed away May 18, 2026 at his home. He was employed with Howard Industries as a welder.

Mr. Everett’s viewing period will take place Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mr. Essit “Sputnik” Brant, Jr. will occur Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Turner Funeral Home, with Pastor John Lacey officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Shubuta.

Mr. Brant Jr., a 63 year old Shubuta MS resident, transitioned May 20, 2026 at his home. He was an employee with the Town of Shubuta.

There will be a viewing period for Mr. Brant Tuesday (tomorrow) from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lawanda Blakney Everett will take place Saturday, May 30th, at 12:00 noon at Pleasant Grove MB Church, with Rev. Keontae Carter as the eulogist. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Blakney-Everett, 58, a Citronelle AL resident formerly of Waynesboro, passed away May 12, 2026 at her residence. She was a restorative aide in the healthcare field.

Mrs. Blakney-Everett’s viewing will occur Saturday, May 30th, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 noon at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral services for Ms. Shalesta McDonald will be held Saturday, May 23rd, at 4:00 PM at Bethlehem MB Church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Ms. McDonald, 36, a Quitman MS resident formerly of Shubuta, transitioned May 14, 2026 at Oschner Watkins Hospital in Quitman. She was employed with Warmkraft Industries of Stonewall, MS.

Ms. McDonald’s viewing period will occur Saturday, May 23rd, from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the church, prior to the funeral.
