Joyce McLain

Mrs. Joyce McLain, 69, of State Line, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. McLain was born in Waynesboro, MS, on Monday, September 2, 1957, to Gerald Glenn Henderson and Deloris Henderson. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a homemaker.

Mrs. McLain is preceded in death by her father, Gerald Glenn Henderson; her mother, Deloris Henderson; and her brother, Richard Paul Henderson.

She is survived by her husband, Mr. James Clinton McLain; two sons, Timothy Dale McLain (Sonia) and Darrell Clinton McLain; two daughters, Amanda Elaine McLain and Dana Deloris McLain; one brother, Gerald Wayne Henderson (Sherry); one sister, Lorretta O'Neil; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A Graveside Service for Mrs. McLain will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at McLain-Brewer Cemetery, 39 L A McLain Drive, Richton, MS, with Rev. H. Grant McLain officiating. Interment will follow in McLain-Brewer Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers; JT Moss, Carson McLain, Josh Moss, Jason Kitrell, Donnie Wayne Henderson, and Alex L. Henderson.

Orland Dwayne Martin

Mr. Orland Dwayne Martin, 69, of Heidelberg, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at his residence.

Mr. Martin was born in Laurel, MS, on Tuesday, January 8, 1957, to James Luther Martin and Sarah Catherine (Overstreet) Martin. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He worked as an automotive mechanic, servicing various makes and models of vehicles for people throughout Mississippi all the way to Texas. He was known for his exceptional mechanical skills and ability to repair any type of automobile.

Mr. Martin is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Fay Martin; his father, James Luther Martin; his mother, Sarah Catherine (Overstreet) Martin; five brothers, Leland Martin, Monroe Martin, Dale Martin, Earl Martin, and Leon Martin; and three sisters, Selma Blue, Ethel Boro, and Maurene Purvis.

Mr. Martin is survived by his two daughters, Melissa Hinton (Jimmy) of Eucutta, MS, and Katherine Reid (Percy) of Clara, MS; seven grandchildren, Nicole Strickland, Caleb Hinton, Kylie Staples, Sadie Reid, Payslie Reid, Anthony Hinton, and Ashley Bradley; and two sisters, Pearl Dailey of Buckatunna, MS, and Maxine Patterson of Texas.

A Graveside Service for Mr. Martin will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Dailey Cemetery in Chicora, MS, with Rev. Dan Hudson officiating. Interment will follow in Dailey Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jimmy Hinton, Caleb Hinton, Alvin Byrd, Edwin Blue, John Dailey, and Paul Holifield.
