You know we love our cookouts here at Waynesburg! 🌭☀️ With summer coming to an end, we wanted to do something special for our amazing staff. Every shift was treated to some yummy food and a little extra appreciation for all they do each day.

Meet Jenny! 🐾💕 Jenny recently visited us from SCI Greene as part of the DOC dog training program, where incarcerated individuals help train future service dogs and prepare them for the important work they’ll one day do.

Thanks to Ellen, a wonderful member of our community, Jenny gets opportunities to experience life outside of the prison through special outings like this one. Her visit brought plenty of smiles to our residents and staff, and we were so happy to spend some time with this sweet girl! 🐶❤️

Our fish tank got an upgrade, and Phil and Gary are loving the new addition! 🐠 Our residents always enjoy helping feed and care for our fish, making them a special part of everyday life at Waynesburg Nursing & Rehab.

We’ve been taking some time to honor the life and legacy of Dolly Parton following the news of her passing.

Our residents have been talking about Dolly, listening to her music, watching some of her beloved movies, and enjoying Dolly-themed word searches and coloring activities. For many, her music and movies have been part of their lives for decades, making this a meaningful time to share favorite songs, memories, and stories about an entertainer who touched so many lives.

While we’re saddened by her passing, we’re grateful for the music, laughter, kindness, and memories she leaves behind. Dolly may be gone, but her music will continue to bring people together for generations to come. 💕

Looks like Matt Bristol had a pretty great time at the game! 🖤💛 Our raffle winner made it to the Steelers game and apparently decided it was his birthday while he was there. 😂

We love opportunities like this to give back to our amazing team and celebrate the people who make a difference at Waynesburg every day. We hope Matt had an unforgettable time cheering on the Steelers!

We’re sharing a few more moments from the Rain Day Festival! ☔ Our residents enjoyed the opportunity to get out into the community, take in the festivities, and spend time making memories with our team. We’re grateful for events like this that allow us to stay connected with our neighbors and create meaningful experiences for our residents.
