I’m just a massage therapist, standing in front of Pulaski County’s fine residents, asking them to please let me help them move better, feel better, and stop ignoring that thing that has been bothering them for the last six months. 💆🍍
But seriously, I want to be your massage therapist. And what I offer goes a little beyond “lay down and relax while I rub your back.”
✨ Outcome-Based Massage
This is massage with a purpose. We figure out what you actually want to change whether it's less pain, better movement, less tension, or improved function. I build the session around that outcome instead of doing the same full-body routine every time.
Depending on what your body needs, I may incorporate cupping, scraping, hot or cold stones, hot or cold towels, targeted soft-tissue work, stretching, and other techniques to help us get where we’re trying to go.
And there really isn’t one “type” of person I work with. I’ve worked with everyone from young athletes to older adults, as well as prenatal clients, hospice clients, and people simply trying to stay active and feel better in their bodies. The session changes depending on the person in front of me.
🧠 Craniosacral Therapy
A much gentler approach that works with the craniosacral system and nervous system. CST uses very light touch and subtle techniques to help decrease restriction, encourage relaxation, and support the body’s ability to regulate itself. This one is especially nice if deep pressure isn’t your thing.
🚶♀️ Movement Screens
Sometimes where you hurt isn’t where the problem starts. Movement screens let me actually watch how your body moves and look for compensations, asymmetries, mobility restrictions, or movement patterns that may be contributing to what you’re feeling.
💪 Muscle Testing
Once we see a movement dysfunction, we can get more specific. Which muscles are weak? Which ones are doing too much? Which ones are shortened or restricted? Muscle strength and length testing helps narrow things down instead of guessing.
🤸♀️ Stretch Sessions
Then we can actually do something about what we find. Focused stretching and mobility work can address restricted tissues, improve range of motion, and help restore better movement patterns. Depending on what your body needs, I can also incorporate activation and strengthening work so we aren’t just loosening what’s tight, we’re helping the right muscles start doing their jobs again.
Basically, you don’t have to know exactly what you need before you come in.
You can show up and say, “This hurts,” “I can’t move like I used to,” “something feels off,” or “I just need help figuring out what my body is doing.”
That is literally what I’m here for. 🫶🍍
So yes, Pulaski County… I’m just a massage therapist standing in front of you, asking you to book one of my wonderful services. 😂
