Focusing on inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation with 24-hour skilled nursing care, we are proud to also offer a secured Alzheimer's and dementia care unit. Our nursing home provides complimentary transportation to and from doctor visits and other necessary appointments and our in-house rehabilitation and nursing teams

create individualized, goal-oriented care plans for each resident and patient. Situated along the Missouri portion of historic Route 66, Life Care Center of Waynesville is located in the home community for the Fort Leonard Wood U.S. Our facility is 5 miles from the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, making us an ideal nursing home for individuals in need of short-term rehabilitation, long-term care or post-operative recovery.

🌟 Meet Molly, one of the shining stars at Life Care Center of Waynesville!

A lifelong Missouri resident, Molly has been a CNA for 29 years and has spent the past two years serving in skilled nursing. Her compassion for residents and their families shines through in everything she does.

“I believe a smile and a hug go a long way,” Molly says, and we could not agree more! Her joyful, uplifting spirit brightens our community each day.

Outside of work, Molly enjoys float trips, traveling, trying her luck at the casino and spending time with her family. She and her husband have been married for 26 years and share three children and four grandchildren.

Molly, thank you for the kindness and positivity you bring to our residents, families and team. We appreciate you! 💙

✨ Associate Spotlight: Meet Crystal!

👩‍⚕️ Crystal has been a CNA with Life Care Center of Waynesville for 27 years! In her free time, she enjoys riding her side-by-side and spending time with her husband, 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandbaby!

This week, we're excited to introduce Sierra and Trevor Runyan! ✨

Sierra has worked as an Activity Director for nearly 4 years and previously worked as a CNA for 5 years. She has been a part of the Life Care family for over a year and loves creating meaningful, fun, and engaging experiences for our residents. Trevor is our one-of-a-kind Maintenance Assistant! He's worked a little bit of everything over the years, making him incredibly versatile and always ready to tackle whatever comes his way.

🌳 When they're not at work, you'll probably find them spending time outdoors, exploring the river in search of unique rocks, or attending Renaissance fairs together. And there's even more exciting news for this amazing couple — they're expecting their first child this year! ❤️ Be sure to say hello and help us congratulate the Runyans on their growing family! 🎉

☀️ Rise & Review: Pancake Syrup Taste Test! 😋

🥞 This morning, our residents put their taste buds to the test during our Pancake Syrup Tasting! Everyone had the opportunity to sample different syrup flavors and vote for their favorite. The results? There wasn't a clear winner! 😂

Each flavor had its own group of fans, proving that everyone has their own unique tastes. 🤷 It was a sweet and delicious way to start the day filled with great conversations, lots of smiles, and a little friendly debate over which syrup deserved the top spot!

👋 Hi! I’m Gracie and I’m 22 and have been with Life Care for a little over 4 years! I recently graduated from nursing school and passed my NCLEX, so I’m officially a nurse! I also recently got engaged, so I’m excited for all the fun things this next chapter has in store.

My goal is to keep going to school and eventually earn my RN! I am so glad to be a part of the team at Life Care Center of Waynesville! 💙

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Tori Roberts 🌟

Tori Roberts is our Business Office Manager and has been a valued member of the Life Care Center of Waynesville team since November 2025! 💙

Originally from North Carolina, Tori is a proud military spouse and mom of 4. She brings over a decade of office administration experience to our team and earned her MBA in Accounting & Business Management in 2016. In 2026, she also became a Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS), further strengthening her expertise in healthcare administration. 👏

Outside of work, Tori enjoys spending time with her family and working on her first novel. 🖊️ Thank you, Tori, for everything you do!

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Brenda Shortell, Nurse 🌟

👩‍⚕️ Brenda has been in healthcare for over 40 years, with the last 25 years being in long-term care. She has been here at Life Care Center of Waynesville for the past 9 years. Brenda states she loves working with the residents and that they are like her own personal family to her. She has 3 children and 6 grandbabies that are a true blessing.

Brenda hails from Richland, MO, and has been a local her entire life. Thank you, Brenda, for your dedication and for showing care and compassion in everything you do; we are truly lucky to have you! 🫶

We had a cookout for staff last week to celebrate the fourth of July and to simply say thank you for all they do! ❤️🤍💙 We grilled burgers and Leadership made desserts and sides to go with it — everything from baked beans and potato salad, to chocolate peanut butter cake and banana pudding! 🍔🍌 We appreciate our team for everything they do for our folks every day!
