REIS, William “Bill” L., age 67, of Waynesville, passed away Friday, August 28, 2026, surrounded by his devoted wife.
Bill honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. During his service, he worked as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist and was awarded the Air Force Good Conduct Medal and Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon. He later continued his education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, graduating in 2004. Bill worked as a mechanic for GE Aviation in Evendale for 10 years, until his retirement in January of 2026.
A man of faith, Bill was a member of the Waynesville Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting deer and cruising the country roads on his motorcycle. He also deeply enjoyed traveling with his wife. They spent their honeymoon in Hawaii and made memorable trips to Las Vegas and Germany, where his daughter was living. Bill also had an interest in collecting German b**r steins, which he proudly displayed alongside keepsakes from his travels.
Bill was known for his funny, joking personality and was always a “rock” for his wife, Jeanne. Of all the things that filled his life, he was most proud of his wife, children, and grandchildren. His family was incredibly important to him, and the time spent together created memories they will forever cherish.
