Since its beginnings in 1904 the Quaker Heights Care Community has grown from a boarding home to a 30 bed Assisted Living and a 98-bed, Medicare and Medicaid certified facility offering short term rest and respite care, comprehensive restorative care to help residents regain their full potential, and long term skilled nursing services.

Meet Karen Couch, a resident whose life has been filled with family, faith, and adventure. Karen and her husband shared 52 wonderful years of marriage after meeting in high school, and together they built a family that now includes three children, 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

From motorcycle road trips across the country—including a memorable journey through the Badlands—to a career at Wilmington College, Karen has embraced every chapter of life with enthusiasm and gratitude. Her advice to others is simple yet powerful: "Walk by faith, not by sight."

Today, Karen enjoys the friendships she has made at Ohio Living Quaker Heights and appreciates the clean environment and engaging activities that make our community feel like home. We're proud to share Karen's story and celebrate the remarkable life she continues to live.

We’re celebrating Lilly, another proud graduate of Waynesville High School! This fall, she plans to attend a four-year university to study medical imaging technology. Over the past two years, Lilly has championed connection and engagement on campus as an activities assistant. “I learned the importance of making sure everyone is seen and valued,” she shared.

Lilly's favorite quote: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2

Congratulations to Annabelle, activities assistant at Ohio Living Quaker Heights and spring graduate of Waynesville High School! Annabelle has been part of the team for two years and shared that her experience here has helped her grow more outgoing and confident. She plans to attend a four-year college to earn her bachelor’s degree in psychology. Her guiding quote is FDR’s timeless advice: “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”
