The whole house has passed the same cold around twice this month, and you’re the one holding it together on no sleep. 😮‍💨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You wipe down the doorknobs, push the vitamin C, run the humidifier all night, and you’re still the one who catches whatever is going around.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📣 This is important to hear first: getting “sick” now and then is part of being human, and your body is built to handle it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In fact, some research suggests that early and repeated immune challenges play a role in building a more balanced, resilient immune response over time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In short… we aren’t here to fear microbes! 🦠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But the study in these slides is a fun one!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s small, early research, not a cure-all, but researchers found a quick, measurable bump in the body’s front-line immune defense after a single neck adjustment.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That kind of resilience is something we get to watch show up in our patients all the time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Save this for the next sniffle season, and send it to the friend who somehow catches every bug that comes through daycare. 🤧
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My DMs are open if you’re curious whether it’s a fit.

Give me your number 👇

I’m a solid 1 with strong 4 energy. Those pool towels belong to the car now, and I’m already strategizing about where we’re parking for James J. Hill Days.

September in Wayzata has a whole personality. Half summer, half calendar chaos, and everybody’s nervous system feels the switch.

New routines, earlier alarms, more places to be by 8am.

Be a little gentle with yourself and the kids for the next couple weeks. That’s a lot for a body to adjust to. 💛

Now tell me your number. I need to know who else still has the towels.

You’ve tried pear juice, bicycle legs, and belly massage…

And your kiddo is still miserable when they try to p**p. 💩

Yep, that’s what I thought. Poor buddy!

No shame in any of it, by the way. Every one of those is a reasonable thing to try, and sometimes even a stool softener is the right call for a family.

But if p**ping has been a whole production for months, there’s another place to look.

Your child’s gut doesn’t run itself 📢

It takes direction from the nervous system, and the nerves that tell those little intestines to keep things moving run right out of the low back and pelvis.

When that area is holding tension from birth or a growth spurt those signals get muddy.

Gentle pediatric chiropractic helps calm that tension down so the body can get back to doing what it already knows how to do.

There’s no cracking involved. Mostly light pressure, and me watching your baby go loosey goosey on the table.

Kids are resilient. They were built for this. Sometimes they just need the static turned down.

Comment TUMMY and I’ll send you what a first visit looks like for littles here in Wayzata. 💛

You drove across town for the folder with the very specific pocket situation and remembered the water bottle, the gym shoes, and the form nobody mentioned until Sunday night.

But oops! Your own body has been sitting at the bottom of that list since about June. 😅

I so get it. I have been the mom digging a permission slip out of the passenger seat at 7:52am.

September is a big shift for your system too. It means earlier alarms, more driving, more mental tabs open at once, so getting checked is one small thing that helps your body adapt to all of it.

Twenty minutes, and then you can go back to being the family’s logistics department (and you’ll probably do it more efficiently too 😉)

Comment SCHOOL and I’ll get you on the schedule 👇 or call or text the office at (952) 215-9411.

Just because something is common doesn’t mean it has to be YOUR normal.

Your body is always communicating with you. Instead of masking the symptoms, it’s worth asking why they’re happening in the first place.

If you’ve been brushing one (or more 😉) of these off, maybe it’s time to listen.

👇 Which one would you pick?

Every cry is your baby telling you something. 💛

And I’m saying this as a mom first. Trust me, I had 2 babies at once! 👦🏻👦🏻

When a little one fusses, arches, or wakes up every single hour, that’s the only language they have.

Something feels off in their little body, and they’re asking for help the only way they know how.

Maybe it’s tension from how they were curled up in the womb or from their birth day.

Maybe their nervous system got stuck in “go” mode and can’t quite downshift into rest.

Babies are so resilient! They’re wired to communicate, and wired to settle once they feel safe.

When we gently help that little system unwind, the settling so often comes on its own. 🤗

Let’s see what your baby is trying to say. 💛 Book at the link in bio!

If your shoulder only hurts during your interpretive dance routine... that’s actually helpful information.

We’ll still figure out why it hurts and how to fix it, not just tell you to avoid looking like a helicopter. 🚁

We promise we’ve seen weirder 😉

Lake days, little boys, fishing poles, and sunsets. ☀️🎣🌅

A few days of slowing down, soaking up family time, and making memories that don’t have to be squeezed in between work and activities.

These are the moments that fill my cup and remind me why I love what I do: helping families feel their best so they can get back to living life together.

Back to the office refreshed, grateful, and ready to serve. 💙

What was your favorite summer memory so far? ⬇️

DM me and I’ll walk you through your first visit!

Parents always expect this big dramatic thing, but cranial work is so subtle!

A baby comes in curled up tight. Fussy. Hard to put down. Tense through the whole little body.

I’m barely doing anything a parent can even see. Just gently helping that little nervous system unwind.

✨And then the magic happens.✨

The fingers uncurl. The toes stretch out. The shoulders soften.

Loosey goosey. 🤗

I see it over and over with the fussy, can’t-put-them-down babies who land in my office as their parents’ last resort.

I’m not “fixing” your baby. There was never anything broken. 😉

I’m just helping their nervous system do what it already knows how to do: shift out of “on” and settle into rest.
If you’ve got a little one who’s been having a hard time settling, I’d love to help. 💛

📣 A little scheduling update at Avid!

Some of you longtime Avid patients might recognize this one… 👀

We’re bringing back an online scheduler we used years ago, but it’s had a serious glow-up since then, and the improvements were too good to pass up.

Especially because Avid is still operating without a Front Desk Extraordinaire. 😂😳

And while Dr. Tara is pretty good at adjusting humans, answering messages, returning calls, running the office, keeping the plants alive AND attempting to stay on top of the schedule…

Dr. Tara can only do so much. 😂

The updated scheduler should make it much easier for you to:

✨ See available appointments
✨ Schedule when it’s convenient for YOU
✨ Make changes without having to wait for me to get back to you
✨ Find those last-minute openings before someone else grabs them
✨Bundle families together so you can schedule for yourself, spouse or kids 🙌

And don’t worry, I’m still here. 💙 You can absolutely reach out if you need help figuring out what type of appointment you need or can’t find a time that works.

Consider this my attempt at hiring a little digital front desk help until the human Front Desk Extraordinaire makes their appearance. 😂

Swipe through ➡️ and I’ll show you what you need to know about the new (but technically old 😂) Avid scheduler!
