Most nurses think launching is the hard part. But getting found is what actually determines whether they have a business.
If I was starting an IV therapy business from scratch…
I would not start by obsessing over the logo.
I would not spend 6 months trying to pick the perfect business name.
I would not sit there tweaking the colors, the website, and the Instagram bio while nobody even knows I exist.
Yes, you need the business pieces.
You need your LLC.
You need your EIN.
You need a business bank account.
You need a medical director.
You need proper compliance.
You need malpractice insurance, a medical director agreement, the right pharmacy, a HIPAA-compliant EMR, and good faith exams set up the right way.
And yes…
Those things matter.
A lot.
But here’s where a lot of nurses get stuck.
They think once all the paperwork is done…
Once the LLC is filed…
Once the doctor is found…
Once the EMR is picked…
Once the services are listed…
Then they’ll start marketing.
Wrong.
You should be marketing before you launch.
You should be talking about what you’re building while you’re building it.
You should be posting on your personal page.
You should be creating a business page.
You should be getting into local Facebook groups.
You should be connecting with local businesses.
You should be letting people know:
“I’m launching an IV therapy business.”
“I’m going to be offering IV therapy, vitamin injections, and wellness services.”
“I’m bringing this to our area.”
Because here’s the truth:
If nobody knows you exist…
You don’t have a business.
You have paperwork.
And I say that with love because nurses are usually incredible at helping people.
You know how to serve.
You know how to care.
You know how to solve problems.
But if you don’t learn how to get in front of people, educate them, and let them know how you can help…
You’ll stay hidden.
And hidden businesses don’t grow.
So yes, get the legal and compliance pieces in place.
Yes, choose your services.
And please, don’t overcomplicate that part either.
Start with 3–5 IVs.
Start with 3–5 injections.
Keep it stupid simple.
You can always add more later.
But while you’re setting ever
