“Normal” testosterone and optimal testosterone are not the same number.
We don’t wait for a heart attack to treat cholesterol. We don’t wait for diabetes to address insulin resistance. So why do we wait for full-blown hypogonadism to act on a predictable, system-wide hormonal decline?
Recent high-quality data — the 2023 TRAVERSE trial, updated prostate findings, the 2025 NHANES mortality analysis — has reshaped the conversation. Well-monitored therapy is supported by the evidence.
This isn’t hormone replacement. It’s hormone strategy: monitor earlier, treat earlier, aim for optimal, and track what actually matters.
Save this for your next physical, and share it with a man who’s been told he’s “fine.”
Comment or DM OPTIMIZE for our longevity hormone assessment.

Four days will age you six months. Or reverse them.

A client asked me Wednesday what to do for Memorial Day weekend.

He’s 54. Two stents. HRV in the basement. Flying to Florida Friday.

Here’s the exact protocol I gave him — works in a Four Seasons or your in-laws’ guest room:

FRIDAY (travel day). No alcohol. Electrolytes on the plane or in the car. Last meal by 7pm local. Magnesium. Bed by 10. This one night decides the entire weekend.

SATURDAY. Sunlight in your eyes within 10 minutes of waking. 45 minutes zone 2 — walk, swim, bike. Protein breakfast. One social meal. Water between every drink.

SUNDAY. Heat. Cold. 90 minutes outside without a screen. This trio moves inflammatory markers in 48 hours.

MONDAY (home). Fast until noon. Walk before you eat. Sunlight on arrival. Bed early

That’s it.

Most people will come home heavier, foggier, older. They’ll call it “needing a vacation from the vacation.”

It’s not a joke. It’s a measurable phenotype.

The question isn’t am I healthy.

The question is: if I keep doing what I did this past year, where will my body be in five?

The clients who answer that honestly are the ones who change.

Save this before you pack. Send it to the person you’re traveling with.

She kept being told her hormones were “off.” Three doctors. Four supplements. Still exhausted.
What no one tested for: the mold quietly growing behind her shower wall.
Mycotoxins don’t just live in your lungs. They cross into your bloodstream, scramble your HPA axis, mimic estrogen, and blunt your thyroid — all while your labs look “normal.”
If you’ve been chasing hormones for years with no answers, this might be the missing piece.

They renamed PCOS this week.
After 11 years of research, 22,000 patient and clinician voices, and a global consensus published in The Lancet, polycystic o***y syndrome is now polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome — PMOS.
Here’s why this matters more than a name change:
The old name reduced a whole-body hormonal and metabolic disorder to “cysts on the ovaries.” That single misnomer is responsible for decades of missed diagnoses, dismissed symptoms, and women being told to “just lose weight” while their insulin, androgens, and cardiometabolic risk quietly compounded.
PMOS is metabolic. PMOS is endocrine. PMOS is multi-system. And it requires a clinician who treats it that way.

You’re only in your 30’s… so why do you suddenly feel exhausted, irritable, anxious, forgetful, and completely unlike yourself?

Perimenopause can begin years earlier than most women realize, and many women are told they are “too young” to be experiencing hormonal changes.
But if your body feels different, it may be trying to tell you something.

Signs it may already be happening:
• Brain fog
• Rage or irritability
• Low libido
• Unexplained weight gain
• Hot flashes
• Depression
• Heart palpitations

This is not “just stress.”
This is not something you should have to push through.
And you are not imagining it.

Your hormones influence your mood, metabolism, sleep, energy, libido, focus, and overall sense of well-being.

If any of this resonates with you, DM “MORE INFO.”

And tune in tomorrow for Part II.

Mother’s Day means something different to every woman.
For some, it is joyful and full of celebration. For others, it may feel emotional, quiet, healing, or even difficult. Today, I simply want to hold space for all women and remind you how deeply valuable you are.

To the mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, daughters, stepmothers, women longing to become mothers, and the women who spend their lives caring for others in ways both big and small… thank you.

As a woman, a mother, and a practitioner, I know how easy it is for women to pour endlessly into everyone around them while quietly neglecting themselves. I see the strength women carry every day. I see the exhaustion behind the smiles. I see the love, sacrifice, resilience, and tenderness that often go unseen.

Today, I hope you give yourself permission to receive some of the care you so freely give to others.

You deserve rest.
You deserve peace.
You deserve support.
You deserve to feel cared for too.

From my heart to yours, Happy Mother’s Day. Thank you for all the ways you make this world softer, stronger, and more beautiful simply by being who you are.

With love,
Dr. Catherine

This Mother’s Day weekend, we want every woman to hear this:

You are not tired because you are a mom.
You are tired because you have poured so much of yourself into everyone else.

The late nights.
The early mornings.
The mental load.
The constant giving.
The quiet pressure to keep going, even when your body is asking you to slow down.

After more than 20 years in functional, integrative, and longevity medicine, Dr. Catherine has seen this again and again: many women are not weak, lazy, or “just getting older.” They are depleted, dysregulated, and running on survival mode.

This weekend, let this be your reminder that your body deserves care too.

Rest is not something you have to earn.
Support is not selfish.
And your wellness matters just as much as everyone else’s.

If this resonates with you, comment or DM “RESET” and we’ll send you the private protocol we use inside our longevity practice 🤍
