Sometimes life throws major curveballs … but nobody is as strong as my baby boy… what started 03/10/2025 as fatigue and constipation became a very scary situation. . . Multiple ER trips to our local hospital, including one with an ambulance ride for myself, Hank and Levi. Only to be talked down to and treated like a maad woman. My boyfriend, at the time, drove us to Mercy in Redding. Every doctorr said he was just constipated. So we waited until we got an appt at our loKaelyn Chandler clinic. NONE of the ER doctors would listen to my Motherly intuition but it was MOTHER’s INTUITION, and the help of my amazing friend Kaelyn and Heidi at the clinic who poked his finger Monday at 11, and said get him to UC Davis emergency where we found out levi was type 1 diabetic. He was DKA upon arrival and almost went into diabetic acoma. Through Iv bags of insulin, potassium, etc we are getting our boy back to health and learning how to care for him after we are discharged.
Levi’s father and I have been by his side since. Working together to get our boy back to health.
Both of us missing work and money.
While we don’t require much, I feel it’s best for Levi if his parents didn’t have to stress too much about money. And getting us back home whenever they release us.
If you feel it in your heart to help us during this time I have attached my Venmo information.
Thank you.
Stay blessed.
