Please join us in congratulating Misty on her 10-year work anniversary at Vision Solutions!

As the Director of Clinics based out of our Lamar office, Misty plays a vital role in shaping the exceptional patient experience we strive to provide each day. Through her team-focused leadership and knowledgeable staff training, she continually elevates the standard of patient care across our organization.

Misty says one of her favorite aspects of her job is the variety each day brings, and the ability to step in where needed most.

Her passion for the optometric profession extends beyond Vision Solutions. She currently serves as treasurer of the Missouri Optometric Association's (MOA) Paraoptometric Board and was honored in 2024 as MOA Paraoptometric of the Year—well-deserved recognition for her commitment, expertise, and service to the field.

When she's not working, you'll find her spending time with her kiddos or tending to her garden.

If your child has trouble reading, spelling, writing, or performing simple math problems, but is an otherwise bright child, there is real possibility of an undiagnosed vision and perceptual problem.

Different from eyesight, which is a function most of us are born with, vision and perceptual skills are the ability to understand what we see. Children whose eyes don't move, align, fixate and focus as a team often miss words, phrases, or whole sections of paragraphs when they read; often exhibit poor handwriting; and may have difficulty spelling or completing simple math problems. Worse, they unaware of what's happening. They only know that school work is difficult.

At Vision Solutions, we can diagnose these problems and have vision exercises and therapy tools to help correct them.
