This World Immunization Week, we celebrate the impactful efforts of the IPA and the Ikatan Dokter Anak Indonesia, with support from the Gates Foundation, in strengthening immunization across Indonesia.

Over 1,000 healthcare professionals and stakeholders have been empowered with skills in vaccine advocacy, communication, and combating misinformation. From workshops to communities and social media platforms, these champions are driving awareness, improving confidence, and supporting the scale-up of HPV and routine immunization programs.

Together, we are building trust, strengthening systems, and ensuring no child is left behind.

IPA’s Vaccines to Vaccination initiative, now continuing into its third year, is strengthening regional capacity, fostering collaboration with partners such as the World Health Organization and UNICEF, and empowering leaders to drive immunization efforts worldwide. This World Immunization Week, we proudly celebrate the efforts of the International Pediatric Association (IPA) and the Pediatric Association of Liberia, with support from the Gates Foundation.

So far, 70 Immunization Champions have been trained, with more champions set to join through upcoming regional workshops. Across Liberia, these champions are engaging caregivers, addressing vaccine hesitancy in rural communities and urban slums, and combating misinformation through advocacy and community outreach activities. Their efforts are strengthening trust in immunization and helping vulnerable children access accurate, lifesaving health information.

This World Immunization Week, IPA proudly highlights Ghana as one of the 6 countries of IPA Immunization Advocacy Project in collaboration with the Pediatric Society of Ghana with support from the Gates Foundation.

The project works to strengthen vaccine confidence, support new vaccine introduction, address vaccine hesitancy, and promote policies that ensure equitable access to immunization for all.

We have trained 115 Immunization Champions to work for every child, every age, everywhere!
