April Caregiver of the Month: Angilisa Lumpkins

We are thrilled to celebrate Angilisa Lumpkins as our Caregiver of the Month. Since Angilisa has started with Senior Helpers, she has continued to go above and beyond for our clients and support her fellow caregivers. Her favorite part of working for Senior Helpers is assisting people while preserving their dignity. In her free time, she enjoys learning to knit, and if she could spend one day doing anything, she would turn up the car radio and drive to Texas to visit her siblings. Senior Helpers of St. Louis/Webster Groves is proud to name Angilisa our Caregiver of the Month!

June is Men's Health Month here at Senior Helpers, and we're kicking it off with a celebration of what aging well actually looks like. πŸ’™

For the men in our lives, getting older doesn't mean slowing down on the things that matter. It means being a little smarter about health, a little more intentional about routines, and a little more willing to accept support when it makes life better.

Gentle aging isn't about giving things up. It's about staying ahead: keeping up with checkups, moving your body regularly, staying connected to the people you love, and knowing that asking for help is one of the strongest things a man can do. πŸ’ͺ

Honored to present on VA benefits and resources yesterday at Crestview Senior Living πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

We love helping veterans and their families better understand programs like Aid & Attendance and Homemaker/Home Health Aide benefits that may help make care at home more accessible.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to the team at Crestview for having us! β€οΈπŸ’™

Not all strokes come with obvious warning signs. Silent strokes and TIAs, or mini strokes, can happen without you even knowing, but both carry serious risks.

This month, we're helping you understand the signs to watch for, because awareness is the first step toward protection. Watch our latest reel to learn more. πŸ§ πŸ’™

Coming home after hospitalization for a stroke is a significant milestone, but the transition can feel overwhelming for both survivors and their families.

That's where we come in. Senior Helpers' Return Home program is designed to support stroke survivors as they transition back to the comfort and familiarity of home. From personal care and medication reminders to mobility assistance and companionship, our caregivers are there every step of the way.

Because recovery doesn't end at discharge. It begins at home. πŸ’œ

"I can't say enough good things about your services. I'm truly thankful for everything Senior Helpers has done for my father-in-law. We live out of state and he has no one close by, so you've all been a Godsend in helping him after his stroke."
