Rodney Blaine Lough, 76 of Painesville, Ohio, formerly of Webster County, passed away on January 1, 2025 at Burton Health Care in Burton, Ohio.
He was born February 11, 1948 in Buckhannon to the late Worthy Lough and Dorothy Hamrick Lough Ticel.
Rodney served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Disabled American Vets, the Marine Corps League, The V.F.W. and the N.R.A.
Left to cherish his memory are his sisters: Sally Hanger, Sara Imars, and Stacey Strobel.
He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Lough; mother Dorothy Ticel; his father Worthy Lough; and his step-father John Ticel.
Private Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held in Big Run Cemetery, Diana, where he will be interred next to his father.

Clara Louise Payne, 80 of Webster Springs passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at CAMC Memorial Hospital.
She was born February 25, 1946 in Webster County to the late Commodore and Bertie Jane Hamrick Cowger. She worked as an in home health care worker for the Webster County Senior Citizens and attended Elk Valley Chapel. She enjoyed cooking for family functions, camping, gardening, and planting flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jackie Ross Payne; siblings: Doy (Ruby) Cowger, Clinton Cowger, Junior (Wilda) Cowger, Clyde (Mary) Cowger, and Aunna Cowger; sister-in-law Helen Cowger; and brothers-in-law Carl DeBarr and June Brown.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Jerry (Vonda) Payne; granddaughter Addison Payne; siblings: Kenneth (Darlene) Cowger, Earl Cowger, Carol (Mike) Brown, Sue DeBarr, Vella Brown, and Caunny (Janet) Cowger; sister-in-law Barbara Cowger; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends to mourn her passing.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs.
Funeral Services to celebrate Clara’s life will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Webster Springs.

Danny Lee Rogers, 85 of Bergoo, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026 at his home. He was born August 11, 1940 in Bergoo to the late Lonnie and Daisy Pudder Rogers. He worked in construction and enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and spending time outdoors.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his son Marty Rogers and siblings: Thelma Odella, Ira Denvil, Harold Jack, Melbalene, Billy, Gerald, Sherry, and Mary.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Kenny (Loretta) Rogers, Diane (Ed) Sams, Mike Rogers, and Cheryl (Todd) Sandquist; daughter-in-law Arnita Rogers; grandchildren: Natalie, Kendle, Marty, Brett, Shane, Brandon, Kayla, Mitchell, Mara, Katie, and Kylie; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother Bob Rogers; sisters: Josephine and Marjorie; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends to mourn his passing.

John Gordon Foster, Sr. 80, of Webster Springs passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at his home.

Born April 28, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ruth (Oles) and Gordon Foster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Angel Marie Hudson; and his sister, Cheryl Foster.

John was a retired sailor from the United States Coast Guard, where he earned many awards and commendations. He was Chief Boatswain Mate (E7) and a 5th generation military serviceman, and the tradition continues with his son and grandson. An avid fan of both football and baseball, he was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. He enjoyed watching westerns, particularly enjoying watching most John Wayne movies. His favorite western was “The Searchers”. When he was able, he could be found gardening, golfing, or fishing. He even taught himself how to tie flies in which to fish.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 57 years, Helen (Jones) Foster; children: John G. Foster, II (companion, Lisa Kasee) and Kristin (Jason) Tanzi; grandchildren: Christina Edinger, Justin Edinger, Ashley Biser, Matthew (Krystal) Foster, Kaitlynn Atkins, Shawn Kasee, Mattison Crystal (Spencer), Samuel Tanzi, Ryan Tanzi, Bradley Hudson, Josh Hudson, and Allyssa Hudson; five great-grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter on the way; neighbor and friend, Gloria Gregory; and a host of extended relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Services to celebrate John’s life will be held 12:30 PM, Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Steve White officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation one hour prior to the service time from 11:30am-12:30pm. Military Honors will follow at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Webster Memorial Hosptial EMS.

Tamara Gay Ellison Hamrick, 56 of Webster Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at her home.
She was born April 18, 1970 in Lufkin, TX to the late John D. Ellison and Rosie M. Shuemaker Roebuck. She was a homemaker and enjoyed walking by the river.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Patrick “Pat” Hamrick; four children; two brothers; two sisters; and many extended family and friends to mourn her passing.
No services will be held at this time.

Forrest Connell Cool, 88 of Webster Springs passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026 at WVU Hospital Ruby Memorial in Morgantown.

He was born July 17, 1937 in Webster Springs to the late William Cornelius and Ina Mae Salisbury Cool. He was a retired truck driver for Preston Trucking Company and was a member of the Million Mile Club. He was a United States Army Veteran.

He attended First United Methodist Church of Webster Springs and was a member of the Cowen VFW. Forrest enjoyed spending time outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Shirley Owens Cool and siblings: Opha Cool, Louella Nelson, Louise Jennings, and Bonnie Nicely.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Kay Cool; son Fred (Karen) Cool; daughter Karen Lynn (Brian) Searfoss; grandchildren: Joshawa Cool-Luke, Justin (Kelly) Cool-Luke and their daughter Ila; Jayme Cool-Luke, Joseph (fiancé, Katie McClory) Cool, and Darriane Cool; and many extended family and friends to mourn his passing.

Graveside Services with Military Honors to celebrate Forrest’s life will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Washington Park East Cemetery ,10612 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN.
