Often when I work with people we work on deepening their self awareness first.

Self-awareness is the ability to gently notice what’s happening within you.

It’s recognizing your emotions before they take over.
It’s understanding your triggers instead of being controlled by them.
It’s noticing the stories you tell yourself and questioning whether they’re actually true.

Self-awareness helps you understand:
✨ Why certain situations affect you so deeply
✨ Why you keep repeating the same patterns
✨ What your mind, body, and spirit may be trying to communicate

Healing doesn’t begin when you have all the answers.

It begins when you become curious enough to ask:
“What’s really going on inside me?”

The more aware you become, the more choice you have.
And with choice comes the opportunity for growth, healing, and a deeper connection to your true self.🌱✨

✨ Sometimes healing isn’t about having just one “right” feeling — it’s about holding space for many at once. You can feel joy and grief. Peace and uncertainty. Hope and fear. 🌿

Emotions can be complicated, and that’s okay. Instead of trying to fix or fight them, gently notice what’s present. Recognizing and accepting your emotional layers is a powerful part of the healing process and deepening your self awareness.💛

Why is the message always, “you’re acting crazy!” “You’re insecure, why can’t you trust me?” Why does there seem to be a narrative to all women that if they ask for respect then they are high maintenance, demanding or controlling?

Ladies, you aren’t asking too much. You do deserve to be respected, listened to and supported. If something or someone is making you feel uncomfortable you are allowed to set a boundary indicating that you will not sit back and allow this to continue. 🚫

You. Deserve. Better. No justifications. No excuses. It’s time to seek what you deserve.

(I know men deal with this too. In my office and personal life I hear this from mostly females. I have heard it from my male clients too. Compromise is part of a healthy relationship, but ignoring your intuition, lowering your standards and expectations can create a relationship filled with anxiety, insecurity and resentment. It’s that time of year where most of my clients come in sharing how tired they are. The winter dread is fully upon us. 🙇🏻‍♀️ I get it. I have struggled with it for years.

But what if we leaned into it all a bit more? Instead of fighting it and cursing it we took it as our body trying to tell us something. Our bodies are great communicators if we just listen to them. 🧠

This winter, become more mindful every day. Check your resources. If you’re tired perhaps it’s your body saying go to bed earlier more consistently. Check your vitamin D levels, stay hydrated. Work with a functional nutritionist to help understand what your body needs.

Start a hobby, get back into reading, color, bake bread, move your body. Be more intentional. Take social media breaks. 📵

Lastly, if you need help navigating the winter blues reach out for help. ❄️ Therapy can help guide you and implement strategies that work for you. It can open the door to self awareness and really understanding what your mind and body need. 🧘🏻‍♀️
