As our new Serenity Life Creative Studio sign was being installed today, we uncovered a little piece of Webster history.

Hidden underneath was the original sign from the art shop that used to call this space home.

I didn’t spend countless hours there, but I always loved that it was part of our village. When it moved, I remember feeling like Webster had lost a little piece of its creative spirit.

Years later, it’s incredibly special to be opening another creative space in that very same location.

It feels less like coincidence and more like a passing of the torch.

Here’s to honoring what came before while creating something new for our community.

Everyone has their seat. ☺️

One of my favorite questions to ask people when they see the studio for the first time is:

“Where’s your spot?”

Some people immediately choose the community table because they love creating alongside others. Others head straight for a cozy corner where they can settle in with a cup of coffee and disappear into their artwork.

Maybe you’re a bar-seat person.
Maybe you love a comfy couch.
Maybe you’d rather stand at an easel with paint on your hands.
Or maybe… you’re brave enough to claim the window seat. 🤍

We intentionally designed this space with all kinds of creators in mind because creativity looks different for everyone.

This new egg chair might officially be my favorite spot. 🌿

Now I can’t wait to find out…

Some people dream about shopping for shoes…

I dream about ordering art supplies. 😂🎨

After weeks of testing, comparing brands, and deciding what truly belonged in each Art Box, we finally placed the order.

Thirty boxes worth.

Professional-quality watercolors.
Beautiful acrylics.
Soft pastels.
Sketching materials.
Clay.
Paper I’d be excited to create on myself.

And we didn’t stop there.

We also stocked up on tons of technique add-ons—from texture mediums and specialty papers to unique tools and creative extras—so there’s always something new to discover. We want every visit to inspire you to try a new technique and keep coming back to create.

Every supply was chosen intentionally because we want every artist who walks into Serenity Life Creative Studio to feel inspired from the moment they open their Art Box.

Feeling incredibly grateful that this dream is becoming something our Webster community will soon experience.

🎨 Behind the Art Bar | Episode 3: The Rock Test 🪨

Our product testing continues…

After falling in love with these watercolors on watercolor paper, our young team member decided it was time to answer an important question:

“But how do they look on rocks?” 😂

The verdict? Surprisingly vibrant—and apparently toddler approved.

One of the most fun parts of building Serenity Life Creative Studio has been slowing down and truly testing every material before it earns a place in an Art Box. Sometimes those tests go exactly as planned… and sometimes they involve a two-year-old, a handful of rocks, and a little unexpected creativity.

Honestly? We wouldn’t have it any other way. ❤️

It’s funny how places become part of who you are. Webster has been the backdrop for so many of my life’s milestones—childhood adventures, lifelong friendships, building Serenity Life, and now creating Serenity Life Creative Studio right here in the community that raised me.

People often ask why we’ve chosen to invest so heavily in Webster.

This is why.

Because communities aren’t just places on a map—they’re collections of memories, traditions, and people who quietly shape us over time.

I’m incredibly proud to call Webster home, and even more grateful that my kids get to grow up making many of the same memories I still carry with me.

Here’s to another year of carnival lights, summer nights, and fireworks over the town we’ll always love. ❤️🎆

🎨 Behind the Art Bar | Episode 2: Every Material Has to Earn Its Place

There’s something exciting about opening a box full of possibility.

Today, that excitement belongs to us.

As we build our very first Watercolor Box, we’re unboxing supplies, comparing materials, and asking one simple question:

Does this deserve a place in your Art Box?

Every brush.
Every pen.
Every sheet of paper.
Every color.

Nothing is included just because it’s popular or convenient. Every material is being tested to make sure it contributes to an experience that’s approachable, inspiring, and enjoyable for artists of every skill level.

Because someday, you’ll walk up to our Art Bar, choose your Watercolor Box, and experience all of these little decisions without ever having to think about them.

That’s exactly how we want it.

🎨 Behind the Art Bar | Episode 1: What is an Art Box?

One of the questions we’ve been asked the most is…

“What exactly is an Art Box?”

When we started dreaming about Serenity Life Creative Studio, we knew we didn’t want people to walk into a room full of supplies wondering where to begin.

Art should feel inviting—not overwhelming.

So instead of aisles of materials, we created Art Boxes.

Each box is thoughtfully curated around a creative medium like watercolor, drawing, acrylic, pastels, clay, or journaling. Inside, you’ll find everything you need to begin creating—carefully selected, beautifully organized, and ready when you are.

Our hope is that from the moment you step up to the Art Bar, you can spend less time deciding what to use and more time doing what really matters…

✨ Creating.
✨ Exploring.
✨ Connecting.

This is just the beginning.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be taking you Behind the Art Bar as we build each creative experience from the ground up.

A few big milestones this week… 🤍

Our Coming Soon signs are officially up in the windows…

…and baby Andrew is officially here. 🩵

As we settle into this sweet season as a family, the studio is quietly coming to life.

One of my favorite details in our front window is the featured artwork.

The painting is called “Baby Face,” and it was painted by my brother nearly 25 years ago in the community art space we attended as kids—the very kind of creative refuge that planted the seed for what Serenity Life Creative Studio is becoming today.

Art has a way of staying with us. Sometimes a childhood experience grows into a dream you don’t fully understand until years later.

It feels especially meaningful to display Baby Face as we welcome our own new baby into the world and prepare to welcome our community into this new creative space.

The signs are up. The dream is becoming real. We can’t wait to open our doors.
