August is National Breastfeeding Awareness Month, a time to celebrate the many benefits of breastfeeding for babies and mothers.

Breastfeeding gives babies the nutrition they need for a healthy start while supporting their growing immune systems. It also provides important health benefits for mothers.

At WVU Medicine Weirton Medical Center, we're here to support families every step of the way with education, guidance, and compassionate care.

Our breastfeeding basics classes are free for moms-to-be delivering with us.

What a fantastic day to connect with our community! 💗

Our team had a wonderful time meeting so many amazing people at today's TruCare Community Health Fair in Follansbee, sharing important information about breast self-exams, our comprehensive BreastCare Program, Low-Dose CT Lung Cancer Screening, and our NEW Bariatric Surgery Program.

Events like these are a great reminder that prevention, early detection, and access to expert care can make all the difference. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth—we loved answering your questions and helping you learn more about the services available right here at WVU Medicine Weirton Medical Center.

A big thank you to the Rotary Club of Weirton Heights for welcoming Dr. Charles Capito to today's meeting.

Dr. Capito discussed his approach to treating trigger finger and carpal tunnel syndrome, along with many other orthopedic conditions and injuries. Members learned more about the advanced care and surgical options available right here at WVU Medicine Weirton Medical Center.
