Warmer weather is finally here and so are skin issues that thrive in summertime…

Impetigo is a highly contagious, superficial bacterial skin infection common in younger kids.

It usually happens through minor cuts, insect bites, scrapes, or rashes, and typically appears on the face.

If you suspect the infection with one of your little ones, make sure not share towels, washcloths, utensils, etc as it can easily pass to family members.

Mild cases are typically treated with topical ointments, and more severe or widespread cases may require oral antibiotics.

✨Remember, we are here for you and your kids when it comes to any skin concerns in the warmer weather!!

Scenes from our Team Retreat in Nantucket…

Which this year named “Barbtucket” to celebrate Barb’s retirement!

We have the most incredible team and this annual weekend is always such a treat to all be together.

We relaxed, walked the beach, ate yummy food, shopped, and did yoga.

We discussed how to improve ourselves, our clinical practice, and our office.

We reviewed interesting cases and did a journal club because we are all “lifelong learners.”

It was one for the books.
So grateful to have each and everyone one of these amazing professionals on the team here at DermWellesley!!
