In graduate school, they barely spoke about it and when they did they told me I wouldn’t make any money. So I did what everyone told me to do and I got an agency job. Six years and a couple of promotions later, I was burnt out. It was time for a change, so I dabbled in private practice by renting space from someone on an hourly basis. From there, I opened a group practice called “Caring Therapists

of Broward” and built a robust and profitable group practice by taking insurance and ensuring quality care with effective systems within the practice. Today, I'm the owner of Caring Therapists, a multi-location group practice. I'm a consultant through My Private Practice Collective, a Facebook community with over 18,000 members. I help solo and group practice owners build smart private practices. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Addictions Professional, National Certified Counselor, and private practice consultant. My book, Guided Journal for Women with Anxiety on sale on Amazon and wherever books are sold. My training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Counseling, Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. I'm a wife, mom, entrepreneur, and cat owner.

Between academic pressure, work schedules, financial stress, and major life transitions, students at UCF, Valencia, Rollins, Full Sail, and other Orlando-area schools are navigating a lot. Anxiety, depression, and burnout don't have to be "just part of the college experience."
