No. An annual women’s health visit is about much more than a Pap test.

Depending on your age, health history, symptoms, and risk factors, your visit may include discussion of:

* Menstrual or gynecologic concerns
* Contraception and pregnancy planning
* Menopause symptoms
* Breast, bone, vaginal, and sexual health
* Preventive screenings
* Healthy lifestyle and risk-reduction goals

A Pap test, pelvic exam, or other physical examination may not be needed at every annual visit. Your care should be based on your individual history and needs.
