Jones Memorial Hospital, an affiliate of University of Rochester Medicine, provides the highest quality healthcare in a caring manner to improve the quality of life for our communities. Jones Memorial Hospital, located in beautiful southwestern New York State, is a 49-bed acute care facility serving all of Allegany County, as well as western Steuben County and northern Potter County, PA. The Jones Memorial Medical Practices is a network of practices that involves primary care and specialties including orthopaedics, pediatrics, internal medicine, family practice, and obstetrical and gynecological care. Jones Memorial also has a walk-in clinic for non-emergency situations including sprains, strains, flu symptoms, headaches, earaches, diarrhea, minor burns, coughs and colds, and urinary tract infections. JMH provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, including medical imaging, rehabilitation services, laboratory, obstetrical and surgical services. Jones Memorial is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and has been recognized by IPRO, the New York State Medicare Quality Improvement Organization. JMH is committed to continuously raising quality and safety to higher levels.

🔧 Happy Facilities Week! 🛠️

This week, we’re celebrating the dedicated Facilities team at Jones Memorial Hospital! From maintaining our buildings and equipment to ensuring our spaces are safe, comfortable, and ready for patient care, their work plays an essential role in keeping our hospital and outpatient spaces running smoothly every day.

Much of what they do happens behind the scenes, but their impact is felt throughout our entire hospital — by our patients, visitors, and every member of the Jones family.

Today, the team celebrated with a picnic and games in the courtyard. Please join us in thanking our Facilities team for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to creating an environment where exceptional care can happen. We appreciate everything you do! 💙

This award was given to the Jones team as part of recognition for an initiative of improving patient and staff safety through Just Culture, event reporting and data-driven quality.

This week, our associate spotlight shines on Cassie Pensyl, Pharmacy Technician/340B Buyer in our Pharmacy Department. A Wellsville native, Cassie has been with the Jones for 6 years and has worked for the Pharmacy exclusively. She says that her team is her favorite part of her job. Cassie grew up in healthcare, with a mom also working in healthcare. She credits this as the reason she pursued her current career.

Jones Memorial Hospital is pleased to welcome Dr. H Wang to the General Surgery department.

Dr. Wang provides a full range of general surgical services, including treatment for hernias, gallbladder disease, gastrointestinal conditions, skin and soft tissue disorders, colorectal conditions, and other surgical diseases. He performs minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures whenever appropriate, helping patients experience less pain, shorter hospital stays, and faster recoveries.

This week our associate spotlight shines on Lexi Niedermaier, NP, provider at our Andover Primary Care office for the past four years.

Orginally from Belfast, NY, Lexi credits her family of nurses with propelling her into the healthcare career. She joined the primary care office in Andover after spending time as an RN in the med/surg department at Jones and states that supporting the medical care of her community is one of her favorite parts of working at Jones.

I love my coworkers they always make work fun.

What inspired you to pursue working in healthcare?
My Mom. She's a nurse and I wanted to take after her.
