Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home Jones & Jones Funeral Home and Betts Funeral Service were merged in September of 2007.

Jones & Jones was originally founded by D.W. Jones in Coulee City in 1903 before he and his wife established a permanent Wenatchee funeral home in 1914. Betts Funeral Service was established in 1948 and has always been locally owned. The purchase by the Precht family, owner of Betts since 1985, returned Jones & Jones to local ownership after a dozen years as a part of a large international corpora

tion. The Precht family has been in the funeral business since 1940. A staff of caring professional funeral service providers have made Jones & Jones~Betts "the thoughtful choice." Jones & Jones~Betts serves all faiths, providing local, statewide, national and international service to cemeteries and mausoleums. Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home's facility features the largest chapel of any North Central Washington funeral provider. This just in! Our 1957 Shore Patrol jeep, Annabelle, will be joining the Veterans of Foreign Wars Dept of Washington and VFW Auxiliary Department of Washington in Leavenworth at the end of this month for the Washington State Autumn Leaf Festival grand parade on Saturday, 26 Sept.

Going back to work after losing someone you love can feel overwhelming. Some days, a familiar routine may bring comfort. Other days, even the smallest moments can bring unexpected waves of grief.

Remember, there is no timeline for grief and no “right” way to navigate life after loss.

Give yourself grace. Take things one day at a time. Ask for support when you need it, and allow yourself the space to feel whatever comes your way.

You don’t have to have it all together. Grief takes time, and healing is not a straight line.

Don't forget -- you are welcome to join us at 2 p.m. Sept. 2 (that's tomorrow) for the Chelan County Coroner's first graveside service for the unclaimed cremated remains in its care.

Community members, local officials, faith leaders, service organizations and anyone wishing to pay their respects are invited to attend the short service at Evergreen Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 1301 10th St. NE in East Wenatchee.
