Our South Texas Health System Emergency Departments are open 24/7 for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency or concerning symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, trouble lifting your arms, numbness or weakness, dial 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

Unfortunately, we have begun to see patients that have waited too long to seek care for life-threatening conditions, due to an understandable fear of being exposed to COVID-19. However, prolonged delay in seeking evaluation for concerning symptoms may have detrimental effects on your health. We encourage you to seek immediate medical care in these situations.
