September is Su***de Prevention Month.
This is my son Jacob. On July 19,2021 he took his own life, he was 27 years old . Jake had dealt with depression since he was 21. He was one of the funniest, most kind hearted people you would ever meet. He has 2 sisters and myself who knew and understood the depth of his depression. Friends and other family were not aware of just how bad Jake’s depression would get sometimes.
Those who are depressed are masters at hiding their feelings from others.
If there is someone in your life-direct or peripheral - that you are concerned about don’t be afraid to talk and let them know you ask because you care about them .

Fentanyl/Opiates are not selective . They will kill the active user, the “just one pill person “, or the “just one more time person”.
My Luke was the “just one pill” person . We lost him 10/20/2022.
Our lives will never the same.
Take a minute to share the person/persons you lost. Each one of them deserves to be remembered. Let everyone know they may be gone but are still loved and remembered ❤️
