A new study identifies the Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol as a treatment approach with enough research support to be considered a first-line treatment for childhood apraxia of speech (CAS).

The new evidence also suggests K-SLP may be particularly appropriate for younger children and/or those with more severe speech difficulties.
