Perimenopause is about much more than hot flashes.

Changes in hormones can be associated with symptoms such as irregular cycles, night sweats, disrupted sleep, brain fog, anxiety, joint aches, migraines, vaginal dryness, changes in libido, hair thinning, and weight changes.

If several of these symptoms sound familiar, it may be worth having a conversation with your healthcare provider. Keep track of what you are experiencing and bring your notes to your next appointment.

Women’s Health & Menopause Center is here to help you better understand the changes your body may be going through.

Menopause is not an overnight change. The transition can begin years before your final period and continue well beyond it.

Perimenopause may bring changes in your cycle, sleep, mood, hot flashes, and other symptoms. Menopause is reached after 12 consecutive months without a period, and postmenopause brings its own priorities, including bone, heart, and long-term wellness.

You do not have to wait until symptoms become disruptive to ask questions or seek care.

Women’s Health and Menopause Center provides personalized support through every stage of the menopause transition.

Leaking when you laugh, cough, sneeze, or exercise may be common, but that does not mean you have to accept it as a normal part of aging.

Pelvic floor concerns can also show up as urgency, pressure or heaviness, or discomfort with s*x or tampon use.

The good news is that these symptoms are often treatable. Women’s Health and Menopause Center has a pelvic floor physical therapist on staff to help evaluate what is happening and create a personalized plan for improvement.

Start with a conversation.

Painful s*x after menopause is common, but it is not something you have to simply live with.

Hormonal changes can lead to vaginal dryness, irritation, and discomfort during intimacy. The good news is that there are effective treatment options available, and the right approach depends on your symptoms, health history, and personal needs.

If intimacy has become uncomfortable, talk with our team. A simple conversation can be the first step toward feeling more comfortable and confident again.

Menopause advice is everywhere online, but what works for one person may not be right for you.

Supplements, hormone therapy, lifestyle changes, and trending “protocols” can sound convincing on social media. The best next step is to look at the full picture, including your symptoms, medical history, medications, risk factors, and personal goals.

Use your feed to ask questions, then bring those questions to a healthcare professional who can help you make informed, evidence-based decisions.

Women’s Health and Menopause Center is here to provide personalized care through perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.
