I had the privilege this week of giving a glaucoma awareness talk at my church.
Glaucoma is a silent disease — often causing vision loss before people notice symptoms — so raising awareness in our community is incredibly important.

During the session, we discussed:
• What glaucoma is and how it affects the optic nerve
• Early warning signs (and why many people don’t notice them)
• Who is most at risk
• The importance of routine eye exams
• Today’s modern treatment options, including medications, laser therapy, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS)

I’m grateful for the opportunity to educate, answer questions, and help our community take steps toward protecting their vision. Early detection truly saves sight.

Thank you to everyone who joined and participated so actively.
Looking forward to more community outreach and education events ahead!
