🎉 Congratulations to Dr. Bruce Saran on 30 years with Chester County Eye Care! 🎉

Since joining in 1996, Dr. Saran has made an immeasurable impact on our community. Through his expertise and compassionate care, he has helped preserve and save the vision of countless patients while always striving to bring the latest advancements in Retina care to our region.

Over the past 30 years, he's not only changed the lives of his patients but has also been an amazing mentor, colleague, and friend to so many of us at Chester County Eye Care.

His commitment to delivering outstanding care and achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients is evident in everything he does. It's no surprise that he's been recognized time and time again as one of the area's top physicians by his peers, patients, and publications.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Saran on this incredible milestone and thanking him for three decades of exceptional care! We are incredibly fortunate to have him as part of the Chester County Eye Care family!

A very talented patient of Dr. Oldham’s, who recently underwent cataract surgery, surprised us with an incredible handmade recreation of the flower mug gift we give to our surgery patients.
🌸

We are honored that they took the time to make such an amazing artistic version of it. It’s now on display in our West Grove office for everyone to enjoy!

We’re excited to announce that several of our doctors have been named Philadelphia Magazine and Castle Connolly Top Doctors for 2026! This recognition is based on a thorough peer-review process, evaluating each physician’s clinical expertise, education, and professional achievements. Only about 7% of physicians nationwide receive this honor, and we’re proud to have six on our team:

- Dr. Cristan Arena
- Dr. John DeStafeno
- Dr. Michael Ward
- Dr. Bruce Saran
- Dr. Gregory Oldham
- Dr. Stephen Moster

This past weekend, Dr. DeStafeno and members of the CCEC team attended the annual ASCRS/ASOA Conference in Washington, D.C.

Dr. DeStafeno participated as a consultant, contributing to discussions on advancing the cataract surgical experience and the development of next-generation intraocular lenses designed to provide a fuller range of vision in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson and Bausch + Lomb. He also took part in a charitable event supporting Foundation Hearts ‘n’ Hugs, an organization dedicated to bringing comfort to kids facing medical emergencies, illness, and foster care situations.

Team members from our clinical, surgical, and patient access departments attended sessions specific to their roles, learning new skills and insights to bring back and share with the rest of the CCEC team.

March 23rd is World Optometry Day! 👁️

Today, we’re celebrating our fantastic optometrists and the dedication they show to their patients every day. From updating prescriptions to diagnosing and managing complex eye conditions, they work tirelessly to help everyone see their best and maintain healthy eyes.

We’re also grateful for the many optometrists in our community who share the same commitment to high-quality eye care. Thank you for all that you do for your patients and for helping keep our community seeing clearly!

From our team to your family, wishing you a wonderful holiday season and a healthy New Year!

Every year, the CCEC staff surprises our doctors with gifts at our annual holiday party. This year, the staff decided to do something a little different and surprised the doctors by donating money they raised themselves to the Sarcoma Alliance.

As many already know, our very own Dr. Ward was diagnosed late last year with sarcoma, a rare type of bone cancer, and spent the early part of this year courageously battling the disease. This donation was made in his honor to show our support and gratitude for his strength, while also helping others who are facing the same fight.
