A little earwax is actually a good thing. It helps protect and moisturize the skin inside your ears while trapping dust, debris, and germs. For most people, excess earwax naturally works its way out of the ear canal, so you don't need to put anything inside your ears to clean them.

Instead, gently clean the outside of your ears with a soft washcloth.
