Birthdays are about celebrating the people we love and the memories we cherish. 🩷

This year, our team came together to make sure one very special individual felt surrounded by love on her birthday. From dancing and laughter to sharing cake and making memories with friends, it was a day full of joy and connection.

A special thank you to Melissa for helping create such a meaningful celebration. Join us in wishing her a very happy birthday! 🎂

Yesterday, our workshops came together for a very special Talent Show!🎤✨

The inspiration for this event came from Robert at the Batesburg-Leesville Work Activity Center, who shared his desire to perform his guitar playing in front of a larger audience. From that idea, our Talent Show was born. Soon, individuals from across our workshops were preparing to showcase their own unique talents and abilities.

At the Babcock Center, we believe every person deserves the opportunity to be seen, heard, and celebrated. When you support the Babcock Center, you help create opportunities where individuals with disabilities can build confidence, share their gifts, and shine in front of their community.

When Courtney was young, he was run over by a car.

His injuries were so severe that he spent 180 days in the hospital fighting to recover. What followed was a long journey of healing, perseverance, and learning to navigate life after a traumatic brain injury.

Today, Courtney is turning his experience into a powerful message for the next generation. 💛

As a participant at the Babcock Center's Phoenix Center, he enjoys spending time with friends and being part of a supportive community. He also visits local schools to share his story with students, helping them understand the consequences of risky decisions and the importance of making safe choices.

Courtney's journey is a testament to strength, resilience, and the impact one person can have by sharing their story.

Because sometimes the most powerful lessons come from those who have lived them.

Chris was a Clemson University graduate with a passion for photography and a future full of possibilities.

But after jumping from a moving car, he sustained a traumatic brain injury that changed his life forever.

What followed was a journey no one could have prepared for — one filled with challenges, recovery, and learning how to move forward after everything changed.

Today, Chris finds connection and community at the Babcock Center’s Phoenix Center, where he enjoys spending time with others who understand the realities of life after brain injury. 💛

His story is a reminder that even when life takes an unexpected turn, there is still purpose, support, and hope ahead.
