Massage doesn’t HAVE to hurt, most of the time it shouldn’t hurt.

But if you need a firm pressure “deep tissue” massage with trigger point and need a muscle release, things can get a little uncomfy.

I think this is where the saying “hurts so good” come from 🤭

I agree to an extent with my instructors that my job should be professional but once you tell me your life story I feel like we’re a little more than client/ therapist you know 😌 Don’t worry I’m not gonna call your mom to see if you’re available or send you 14 reels at midnight & expect you to respond.

Also professional ≠ impersonal. You can love your clients, joke with them, become friends with them & still have boundaries. In fact, the more you value the relationship the more important those boundaries become.
