Dr. Luis Vasconez and Dr. Grady Core at the University of Alabama at Birmingham refused to accept that premise.

Building on UAB’s legacy of endoscopic innovation, they asked a fundamental question. Why strip the entire scalp when you can achieve the exact same anatomical release through keyholes?

Between 1992 and 1994, Vasconez and Core shattered the status quo. They replaced plastic surgery’s longest incision with five sub-centimeter portals hidden behind the hairline.
