You can leave the unsafe situation and still feel unsafe inside your own body.

That’s one of the hardest parts of trauma recovery.

Your mind may know, “I’m safe now.”
But your nervous system may still be waiting for the next argument, rejection, abandonment, threat, or disaster.

Creating safety within yourself is something you can slowly practise:

🌿 Breathe until your body begins to soften.
🌿 Ground yourself in what is happening right now.
🌿 Remind yourself: “I’m here. I’m safe in this moment.”
🌿 Build routines that give your nervous system predictability.
🌿 Speak to yourself with the reassurance you once needed from others.

Healing isn't only about understanding what happened to you.

It's also about teaching your body that the danger is no longer happening.

At Recovery Trauma™, we’ve created a space filled with trauma education, grounding tools, nervous-system regulation, journals, exercises and guided practices to support you beyond survival mode.

✨ You survived. Now you deserve the chance to feel safe enough to live.

I have a little video coming out tomorrow and I feel like this post is a great place to start… who is Jenny Alzate? Why should I trust her to help me heal my deepest pains? Why should I trust the space that she holds to share my deepest vulnerabilities ? How can I know that this regular human who has her own issues help me understand my own ?

Love the questions and I’ll be answering.. but im going to start from this lighter place.. what’s my astrological sun sign and how does this shape who I am ✨

⬇️. Of course this is a generalization but it does honor my ability to
Have a Birds Eye view of all the aspects that are hurting this human. And also have the ability to
See all
Of the different healing modalities that can work best with this person! More to
Come 🔥💯✨. It’s not coldness it’s self preservation, self care and alignment ✨💯

Being an Integrative Psychotherapist allows me to meet all of my clients exactly where they are. Having so much experience with so many different clinical modalities ensures that my clients will receive a treatment plan that truly supports their Nervous system, their minds and hearts, their inner child and their intuitive resonance. It is magical when I find the perfect blend to help a person, truly feel supported, and seen and understood and able to heal -in whatever way that looks to them!
This study just supports what I already KNOW.

As we move toward a new season, fall offers a gentle reminder: change doesn’t always have to be something we resist.

Sometimes growth looks like releasing what no longer serves us, creating space for something new, and allowing ourselves to move forward at a pace that feels grounded and intentional.

You don’t need to have every next step figured out. You can simply begin by noticing what you’re ready to carry with you—and what you may be ready to leave behind.

This season, give yourself permission to slow down, reconnect, and make room for meaningful change.

If you’re ready for deeper support, Jenny offers Individual Psychotherapy and Clinical Intensives designed to create intentional space for healing and transformation.

Sometimes the moments that bring us the most clarity are the ones where we stop trying to figure everything out.

We step away from the noise. We notice what’s around us. We reconnect with ourselves.

Healing doesn’t always look like doing more. Sometimes it looks like slowing down long enough to feel present again.

Give yourself permission to pause, breathe, and simply experience the moment you’re in.

If you’re feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or ready for deeper support, Jenny Alzate, LPC offers Individual Psychotherapy and Clinical Intensives designed to create space for reflection, healing, and meaningful change.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.

For some people, traditional 50-minute psychotherapy sessions provide the consistent, ongoing support they need to reflect, process, and grow over time.

For others, Clinical Intensives may offer the opportunity to go deeper with extended, focused time dedicated to the areas that feel most important right now.

Clinical Intensives can be especially helpful if you’re feeling stuck, navigating a major life transition, or ready for a more immersive therapeutic experience designed around your unique goals.

Both paths can be meaningful. The question is simply: what kind of support feels right for you in this season?

I’m currently scheduling both Individual Psychotherapy Sessions and Clinical Intensives.

You don’t have to have everything figured out.

Sometimes healing begins by simply giving yourself permission to pause, reflect, and receive support.

At Jenny Alzate Integrative Psychotherapist, there are different ways to begin that process depending on what you need.

**Individual Psychotherapy** offers ongoing 50-minute sessions for consistent support, reflection, and personal growth.

**Clinical Intensives** offer a more focused, immersive experience with extended time to explore deeper patterns, work through what may be keeping you stuck, and create space for meaningful transformation.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, life transitions, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, support can meet you where you are.

Hi, I’m Jenny. 🤍

My work as an integrative psychotherapist is rooted in creating a space where you can feel safe, supported, and truly seen.

I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, nervous system dysregulation, and the deeper patterns that can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves. My approach honors the whole person—mind, body, emotions, and lived experience—while blending trauma-informed care, mindfulness, compassion, and evidence-based therapeutic practices.

I offer both traditional psychotherapy and Clinical Intensives for those who may be looking for a more focused, immersive space for deeper healing and transformation.

There is no single path to healing. My role is to walk alongside you, help you reconnect with yourself, and create space for meaningful, lasting change.

If you’re considering therapy and wondering whether we may be a good fit, I invite you to learn more or reach out for a consultation.

Clinical Intensives are not meant to feel overwhelming or mysterious. The process is thoughtfully designed to help you understand what you need, create a plan that feels aligned, and move through the work with focused support.

It begins with a consultation, where we talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to work through, and whether an intensive feels like the right fit. From there, we create a personalized plan, move into the intensive experience itself, and then take time to integrate what came up so the work can continue supporting you beyond the session.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. The goal is to create enough time, space, and support for meaningful work to unfold at a pace that feels intentional and grounded.

Now scheduling Clinical Intensives for Fall 2026.

What exactly is a Clinical Intensive—and how is it different from traditional therapy?

It's one of the questions I'm asked most often.

While weekly 50-minute psychotherapy sessions are a valuable path for many people, sometimes healing calls for something different: more time, more space, and a more immersive experience.

Clinical Intensives are designed to help you move beyond surface-level conversations and into meaningful, focused therapeutic work. They offer dedicated time to explore what's been keeping you stuck, gain deeper insight, and create lasting change—all at a pace that's personalized to your unique journey.

If you've ever wondered whether a Clinical Intensive might be right for you, I've written a new blog that answers the most common questions, including:

• What a Clinical Intensive is
• How it differs from traditional therapy
• Who it may be best suited for
• The benefits of this focused approach to healing
