Sesame, the 9th food allergen!!!
In just a few short days, SESAME will need to be labeled on all manufactured food in the US as the FASTER law passed earlier in 2022 goes into effect!!

Life changing bill passed for sesame allergic patients and their families!

Advocates celebrated as President Biden signed the FASTER Act, which requires sesame allergy labeling and a report on food allergy research priorities.

Sesame should now be on food allergy labels eventually.

Action follows Senate passage on March 3; bill now goes to President Biden for his signature. Legislation requires that sesame be labeled on packaged foods; prioritizes food allergy research.
