She is a brain tumor survivor, but her journey has been anything but simple. Years ago just two weeks after giving birth to her only son the youngest of her five children she received devastating news. What was supposed to be one of the happiest times of her life quickly turned into fear and uncertainty. Doctors reassured her that if she had to have a tumor, this was the best kind. And that surgery would be straightforward, just three hours in and out nothing to worry about. But that's not what happened. Her surgery lasted 12 hours. The tumor could not be fully removed. She remained hospitalized for three months receiving what doctors described as super doses of steroids to keep her brain from swelling. When she finally returned home, the battle was far from over. She had to relearn everything, how to walk, Talk, Reed, and Rite. At the time, her children needed her most, her four daughters were between 12 and two years old and her newborn son was still an infant. The high dose steroids saved her life, but they came at a cost. The side effects, were severe, leading to two shoulder replacements, a hip replacement, foot surgery, and the need for additional procedures still to come. Then in April 2025, everything changed again. A driver ran a red light and slammed into her car at full speed, totaling it. Her head struck the driver side window during the impact. That trauma triggered something unimaginable. The remaining tumor tissue became aggressive. Quadruple pulling in size. It is larger than both her eyeballs combined. At the same time, a second tumor appeared. The main tumor has shifted into an extremely dangerous location. Surgery now carries a very high risk of paralysis, loss or death. It has attached to her optic nerve, forcing her left eye, completely shut and rendering her, unable to see out of the other eye and affecting her hearing in her left ear.
