When Better Never Stops.
Being a health care hero doesnโ€™t end when the shift is over. Caring for our community is a commitment that extends far beyond the walls of the hospital.

Recently, following a motorcycle accident on Sunrise Highway, a local resident was left unconscious and face down on the pavement. As traffic came to a halt, several Good Samaritans stepped in to help โ€” including two members of the Good Samaritan University Hospital family: 4 Pavilion Unit Nurse Brandon Costa and Volunteer Manager Brittany Colasanto.

Seeing the emergency unfold, Brittany safely positioned her vehicle to help protect the scene and divert traffic. At the same time, Brandon rushed from his car to assess the patient and provide immediate assistance until first responders arrived.

The story came full circle when the patient was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital and admitted to the 4 Pavilion Unit โ€” where he was once again cared for by Nurse Brandon.

Today, the patient has been discharged and credits the Good Samaritan team for the exceptional care he received, both on the road and in the hospital.

Thank you to Brandon, Brittany, and all those who stepped up in a moment of need. Your compassion, quick thinking, and dedication exemplify what it means to put patients firstโ€”every day, everywhere.
