Brainspotting is a brain and body based approach that allows individuals to work through blocks, emotions, unhealthy beliefs or behaviors, and trauma, in a manner that fully utilizes the brain and creates long lasting change. As a certified Brainspotting therapist, Aimee believes that your brain is fully capable of healing itself and solving your own problems when stimulated to use the correct par

ts of the brain. Athletes and performers have unique needs that Aimee understands so she approaches therapy in a manner that adapts to these needs. She is here to help you to thrive in your sports or area of performance.

Did you know that during an extrinsic crisis, individuals that have experienced an extrinsic crisis in the past (i.e.- war, natural disasters, 911, mass shooting, etc.) are more likely to be triggered into fight or flight mode by the current extrinsic crisis we are experiencing in our world? It is more important than ever to obtain mental health support to help you through a time that is uncertain and triggering. As a mental health provider, and someone that specializes in trauma treatment, I am here to help in any way that I can. I am happy to meet in person or via Telehealth if that is more comfortable at this time. I am an in network provider for Cigna, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and now Select Health. I am also able to provide EAP services for employees that have benefits through Optum and Cigna. Please feel free to contact me at 801-712-9577 for a free consultation.

This is such useful information for conflict. I use this tool all the time in marriage therapy. What part of this cycle do you tend to get stuck in when conversations get heated?

Being able to identify the Four Horsemen in your conflict discussions is a necessary first step to eliminating them and replacing them with healthy, productive communication patterns.
