Engracia Gill LCSW

Engracia Gill LCSW Difficult life events such as a relationship breakup, divorce, addictions and depression demand learning new coping skills. With trust, all is achievable.

My great joy is to facilitate healing in body, mind and spirit. I use a varied approach to suit your needs and circumstances. Understanding your world is my focus. We work to transform your life stressors into growth opportunities, a challenge I meet willingly. Cognitive-behavioral tools, calming body/mind processes and positive bonding techniques foster strength by reprogramming the brain to embrace a proactive attitude. I have extensive experience using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to heal trauma. I love working with couples, individuals, children and groups. I am warm, open with an easy laugh. I have a deep interest in the human heart and mind. I continuously instill hope in my clients and support them to grow in the direction of their dreams. I am deeply honored to do this work. SPECIALTIES
I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders through the use of EMDR™, a body/mind technique that transforms anxiety and depression. I have extensive training that applies to the treatment of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. Every couple has a fight that keeps coming back. The topic changes — the pattern doesn't.

In therapy, you learn to identify the specific patterns in how you and your spouse respond to stress, and to see the vulnerabilities each of you covers up to cope. Communicating from a mutually respectful stance is the first step. Understanding the vulnerable need underneath the fight comes next — and learning to meet that need is the work of therapy, with the help of an experienced therapist.

If this sounds like your relationship, start with a free introductory phone call. Fifteen minutes to ask questions and see whether working together feels right. Link in bio, or call (512) 680-2784.

Anxiety doesn't always announce itself. Sometimes it looks like racing thoughts at 2am, a stomach that won't settle, or a to-do list that suddenly feels impossible.

Occasional anxiety is a normal part of life. Constant anxiety is worth attention, and it can come from many places: family history, brain chemistry, stressful or traumatic events, significant life changes, negative thought patterns.

If this has been on your mind, start with a free introductory phone call. Fifteen minutes to ask questions and see whether working together feels right.

The Power of Listening

Listening is one of the most powerful ways we can connect with others. When we truly listen - without interrupting, judging, or rushing to respond - we create space for understanding and meaningful communication.

Active listening helps build trust, strengthens relationships, and allows people to feel seen and heard. It’s not just about hearing words; it’s about being present and engaging with empathy and curiosity.

Taking a moment to pause, focus, and listen can transform the way we communicate with those around us.

You’re not going to wake up one day and suddenly feel fully ready.

Confidence is built after you start—not before.

The messy beginning still counts. The unsure steps still move you forward. The version of you that tries anyway is the one who changes everything.
