Mental health struggles can affect anyone.

Talking about mental health openly can help reduce stigma and make it easier for people to ask for help when they need it.

A conversation. A check-in. A willingness to listen. It all matters.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health or su***de crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

A Sign of Hope in Our Parks

๐Ÿ’™ A special THANK YOU to the United Way Community Care Day volunteers from Calvary Christian School! ๐Ÿ’™

These dedicated volunteers spent their day installing 988 Crisis Stop Signs throughout Bellefontaine City Parks and at West Liberty Lions Parkโ€”helping bring a message of hope, connection, and support to places throughout our community.

Parks are places where people go to walk, reflect, find peace, and sometimes process difficult moments in their lives. For someone experiencing a mental health or su***de crisis, that moment of reflection can sometimes become a life-changing decision. Strategically placed crisis stop signs can serve as a powerful reminder: You are not alone. Help is available. Your life matters.

The Su***de Prevention Coalition of Logan and Champaign Counties purchased these signs through grant funding from the Public Health Fund of Ohio, making it possible to update and expand this important community resource.

This update was especially important because the crisis signs that have been in our community since 2021 featured our local crisis line, 1-800-224-0422, which was discontinued on June 30, 2026. The new signs provide the current, nationwide 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline information so people can connect with help when they need it most.

To the volunteers who gave their time and energy to install these signs: thank you for helping our community create places of hope and connection. Your work may reach someone at a moment when it matters most.

๐Ÿ’™ If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988.

A Fresh Space for Care in West Liberty ๐Ÿ’™

A special THANK YOU to the employees of Honda Logistics who volunteered their time during the United Way of Logan County Community Care Day to assemble office furniture for Coleman Health Servicesโ€™ new West Liberty location at 1521 N. Detroit St., West Liberty, Ohio!

This refreshed space was made possible through federal grant funding secured by MHDAS to support the new Coleman office. The funding helped purchase furniture that will be used in the delivery of mental health and substance use disorder services.

Weโ€™re excited to see this space come together and are eager to welcome clients through the doors as Coleman expands behavioral health services throughout the Logan and Champaign County community.

Using grant funding for projects like this is also a smart way to make the most of available resourcesโ€”helping us preserve local dollars for the important work of crisis, prevention, treatment, and recovery.

Thank you, Honda Logistics, for helping turn this new space into a welcoming environment where people can find care, support, and hope. ๐Ÿ’™
