They say you can’t truly understand someone until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes. But sometimes, being God's hands and feet means giving someone the literal shoes off your own.
On day 4 at one of the clinics, a gentleman walked in seeking eye care. But it wasn't just his physical ailments that caught our attention; it was his feet. He was wearing two completely different, heavily beaten shoes—one a worn-out sneaker, the other an old dress shoe. They were holding together by a thread, serving as his only protection against the rugged terrain.
Without a second thought, and with zero hesitation, Dr. Adesola Fadeyi sat him down, unlaced his own personal shoes, and handed them over to a complete stranger. He spent the rest of his clinic shift walking around in his socks.
It was an unassuming moment, but it felt like holy ground. It was a tangible reminder of what we are actually called to do out here. We aren't just here to hand out prescriptions; we are here to love like Jesus did—extravagantly, practically, and without keeping score.
Praying these shoes bring comfort, dignity, and strength to every single step this man takes. ❤️🇭🇳
