Traci Simmons has been working with families and children for over 11 years. She counsels individuals, couples, families and children, helping them overcome their personal, relational, emotional, and behavioral issues. Her specialties include behavior modification, trauma, abuse, grief, parenting, and marriage. She is trained in EMDR Therapy and is a Registered Play Therapist. Traci uses a strength based approach to therapy to help clients discover their highest potential by identifying their strengths and improving resilience. She is Christian and offers clients the option to integrate their Christian beliefs into the counseling process.

The Lindsay Clancy trial has brought perinatal mental health into the national conversation—and with it, an important reminder:

A mother’s mental health matters.

Pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period bring enormous physical, emotional, and psychological changes. While many people are familiar with the “baby blues,” perinatal mental health concerns can also include anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, trauma, and, in rare cases, postpartum psychosis.

These struggles are not something mothers should have to hide, minimize, or face alone.

At Strategic Counseling, we believe mental health care should be part of caring for mothers and families—not an afterthought.

We are proud to have Natalie Willard, LPC, LMFT, PMH-C, a Perinatal Mental Health Certified counselor, on our team. Natalie has specialized training to support women and families through the emotional and psychological challenges that can arise during pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood.
